DOES LIP BLUSH TATTOO HURT?

Two types of numbing cream are used during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible. Most clients are pleasantly surprised by the sensation after expecting much worse! Some clients have even nodded off to sleep!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

We allow up to 3 hours for the procedure. This includes consultation time, time for the numbing cream to work, pre-drawing and photos. The tattooing itself takes around an hour to an hour and a half.

WILL I NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK?

In my opinion, no. Lip tattoo heals very quickly with very little discomfort or unsightly appearance. On the day of your tattoo your lips may be swollen and this swelling usually subsides within a few hours so it is best not to make plans for immediately after your appointment. The day after your new tattoo the colour will appear more vibrant as the pigment oxidises. On the second and third day you may experience some chapping and dryness. Some people will experience peeling and flaking but this is usually only noticeable by the client, not by others.

CAN YOU TATTOO OUTSIDE OF MY LIPS TO MAKE THEM LOOK BIGGER?

The short answer is no. However, most people will find that by having a lip tattoo that adds colour to their naturally pale vermillion border that their lips appear fuller without the need to over draw and tattoo on facial skin rather than lip. Tattooing facial skin is unpredictable and can result in an undesirable healed tattoo.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Every body is different and will metabolise the pigment at different rates. Lifestyle is also a factor in how long your tattoo will last. An approximate range is 1 – 3 years. A yearly colour refresh is recommended to maintain your lip tattoo.
